Man Accused Of Beating Baby Will Go To Trial 4/5/05

The Snyder County man accused of beating his 3 and half month old son so severely, the child is hooked up to a respirator and a feeding tube will go to trial on the charges.

Prosecutors say 25 year-old Lamar Torrian, upset his baby son was crying, squeezed the child until he went lifeless. Police also say the baby had a fractured skull.

Torrian will go t
o trial on aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children a slew of other charges.
He is in the Northumberland County Prison on 100-thousand dollars bail.
