CRIME DOWN AT DANGER HS

March 25, 2004 -- Criminal incidents at one of the city's most dangerous schools have dropped following a new measure to crack down on violence, the Department of Education said yesterday.
Sheepshead Bay HS increased the number of safety officers at the beginning of the year from 13 to 22 and now has six to eight NYPD officers patrolling daily. Before January, it had only two.
"Now when a fi
ht breaks out, we can clamp down and stop it escalating," said principal Robert Haberski.
As a result, criminal incidents at the school - on the list of dangerous dozen schools - have decreased
by
9 percent.
In addition, new ID cards list students' classes. If they ar
e caught in the wrong place three times, they are given a two- to five-day suspension.
Haberski said the IDs deter kids from skipping class and causing trouble in the halls.
Due to the added security, the number of minor violations on record has increased by 72 percent.
Sheepshead Bay has had four major crimes since the safety program began, three less than the leading Thomas Jefferson HS.

This place is ten blocks from my home.
It is across a major avenue from two LARGE groups of projects,
appx 900 apartments.
Sheepshead Houses and Nostrand Houses
both have shootings and rapes, stick ups
and break ins ad fnny fires.
We are divided from there by two avenues.
Every few blocks is an avenue that divides a neighborhood.
That is a very commercial area and not safe at
nigh
t.
My immediate area is still upscale and fairly safe
and a LOT OF TOURISTS.
Also my area is overrun with Ukranian jews ( jew
ish mafia)
that keeps blacks out.
I was one block fro m that school again this Am and if you could see what goes to school there you would be sick.
I wait till a group or two pass before getting out of the car.
They are always in groups and looking for a confrontation.
If they dont want to go to school put them to work at labor.
Thats all they are good for.
As long as they are BORED, they will go on looking for confrontation.
The homes ( mostly one family) go cheaper every year and
more WHITES move out
and more blacks move in.
Crime is going up here and all round the NY metro area
no matter what Bloombergs stats say.
All kinds of crime is going up, MOSTLY RAPE !
NY is finished.
