Brooklyn teacher busted for allegedly raping 14-year-old stepdaughter

A substitute teacher was arrested late Wednesday for allegedly raping his stepdaughter on multiple occasions when she was only 14 — before he was hired by the Department of Education.

Sergio Garcia, 26 — who most recently served as a subsitute at JHS 227 in Bensonhurst, according to a DOE source — was busted at 9:50 p.m. for repeatedly raping the young teen in his home between August and December of 2017 when he was 21, cops and police sources said.

Garcia was charged with two counts of rape, in addition to raps for sexual misconduct, acting in a manner injurious to a child under 17 and sexual abuse, police said.

“These are extremely disturbing allegations of conduct from several years prior to this substitute’s employment, and we took immediate action as soon as they were reported,” the DOE said in a statement. “He is not eligible to work in our schools pending the outcome of the criminal investigation.”

Garcia was hired by the DOE as a substitute teacher in September of 2020.

A New Jersey man used Facebook chat to collect and circulate child porn that involved kids as young as 4 years old, authorities said Friday.

Devin Luis Ramos-Artigas, 26, of Paterson was arrested April 15 and charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said in a release.

Ramos-Artigas allegedly requested and exchanged lewd videos showing children ranging in age from 4 to 13, authorities said.

“The investigation revealed that Mr. Ramos-Artigas utilized the social media platform Facebook to engage in a chat wherein he requested, received and sent videos of child pornography,” Valdes said.

A judge ordered Romas-Artigas held at Passaic County Jail as his court case continues, authorities said.

Former MLB pitcher Felipe Vazquez was found guilty of sexual assault charges from having sex with a 13-year-old girl in 2017, reports said Thursday.

A Westmoreland County, Penn. jury found the two-time Pittsburgh Pirates all-star guilty on 10 counts, including statutory sexual assault, sexual abuse of children and indecent assault of a minor under 16, according to Wink News.

But the jury found him not guilty on 10 charges of unlawful contact or communication with the girl, the outlet reported.

The jury asked the judge to see pictures and video of the girl during deliberations, according to Wink.

The victim, now 17 and a Florida resident, was in the courtroom at the time of the verdict, WPXI 11 said. She had testified that she and Vasquez had sex in his car outside her home hours before an afternoon Pirates game, The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.

Vazquez, arrested in September 2019, had maintained that at the time they had sex he thought the girl was 17, which is the age of consent.

The former major leaguer and the girl had struck up a relationship on social media, with their communications growing increasingly explicit.

In 2019, the girl sent Vazquez a picture of her in her underwear, according to the report.

“Wow look at you,” he said. “Not the little kid I met three years ago anymore.”

Their relationship continued until the girl’s mother found a picture of Vazquez in his underwear on her phone, the complaint against him said.

When police questioned Vazquez in 2019, he initially told them he couldn’t remember the girl’s name. Vazquez also faces criminal charges in Missouri and Florida related to the same girl. The latter cases are pending.

The NYPD on Monday identified an alleged child predator who has been using his dogs as bait to lure young girls in Brooklyn.

Brandon Rodriguez, 25, is wanted in at least three disturbing incidents last week in Brownsville, including one in which a 13-year-old girl was molested, police said.

Rodriguez allegedly approached the teen at around 7:40 a.m. on May 24, near Osborn Street and Pitkin Avenue, and asked her to take a picture of him with his pooch, according to cops.

The sicko then led her inside of an apartment building, where he touched her inappropriately, police said.

Rodriguez allegedly stopped the girl from leaving by snatching her backpack and putting a dog by the doorway of the building.

He ran off when the victim called out to a friend.

The creep tried the disgusting scheme again at least twice the next day, police said.

First, at around 7:10 a.m. on Christopher Avenue, he asked a 12-year-old girl to take a picture of him with his dog, according to cops.

She ran away when Rodriguez allegedly tried to lead her into an apartment building.

About an hour later, the predator allegedly asked an 11-year-old girl to snap a photo of him with his pup near Watkins Street and Pitkin Avenue, police said.

The girl also fled when Rodriguez allegedly tried to take her into an apartment building.

The NYPD is asking for help in locating Rodriguez, who is described as about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, with his hair in braids. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater and black pants.

Police believe he has a Husky and possibly a second, smaller dog of an unknown breed.

Cops released surveillance footage showing Rodriguez prowling around a school near where the incidents happened, with his Husky on a leash.

A Westchester County man who fathered a child with a 12-year-old girl was sentenced to 17 years behind bars Tuesday.

The now-teenage victim said in a statement read in court Tuesday that she loved 46-year-old Pablo Dure but realized he had been manipulating her – and that she was upset when he tried to convince her to get an abortion, lohud reported.

“I loved you, but that meant nothing to you,” the teen said in her victim-impact statement, which was read aloud by an assistant prosecutor in county court in White Plains before Dure’s sentencing.

The pair’s 2-year-old baby girl could be heard outside the courtroom, lohud said.

“Now I hate you because you wanted to kill her,” Dure’s victim said.

Dure, who pleaded guilty to sexual conduct against a child in the first degree, will have 15 years of supervised release after he gets out of prison and can’t get in touch with the victim or their daughter until June 1, 2046, lohud said.

Dure of Croton-on-Hudson was arrested in April 2020 and accused of sexually abusing the child beginning in December 2017 — when she was just 10 years old.

In January 2020, the victim’s mother found out her daughter was pregnant, and a DNA test showed Dure was the father, prosecutors said.

Dure apologized in Spanish at his sentencing, claiming, There is not a single night that I don’t regret what I have done.”

The victim’s father spoke to him directly through a Spanish interpreter.

“You’re going to get my forgiveness,” the dad said, according to lohud. “Those precious children, I’m not going to teach them hate.”

A disgraced Ohio doctor who budgeted $2,000 a month to lure underage girls to hotels for sex has been sentenced to 22 years in prison by a federal judge — who blasted the perv’s sick scheme as “disgusting.”

Albert Aiad-Toss, a 53-year-old former emergency room physician in Youngstown and Ashland, used Snapchat to recruit six girls between the ages of 12 and 15 for sex at hotels in June 2019, federal prosecutors in Ohio said Thursday.

Aiad-Toss paid the young girls as much as $500 for sex — and plied them with alcohol, clothing, sex toys and lingerie, court documents show.

It was all part of what a judge called his “disgusting” scheme to have sex with minors, for which he set aside thousands of dollars per month.

“I don’t understand how you budget $2,000 a month to do this,” US District Judge Pamela Barker told Aiad-Toss, Cleveland.com reported. “The conduct is reprehensible.”

Federal prosecutors said Aiad-Toss intentionally targeted girls in Ashland County — some 90 miles away from his Youngstown home — to avoid being spotted by anyone he knew.

He also arranged for his victims to enter hotels via side doors rather than main entrances, court documents show.

The twisted encounters also involved more than one juvenile victim at a time. Video obtained by investigators showed Aiad-Toss inside one hotel with three young girls, as well as in a car days later with three victims, federal prosecutors said.

Aaid-Toss, who was arrested in July 2019, pleaded guilty in February to seven counts of sex trafficking of a minor and one count of child exploitation. In addition to 22 years in prison, Barker sentenced him Thursday to a lifetime of supervised release and $90,800 in fines.

Aiad-Toss’ attorney, meanwhile, told Barker he “saved countless lives” as an emergency room physician, but said he accepted responsibility for his actions, Cleveland.com reported.

“He will spend the next 22 years wondering and regretting,” attorney Darin Thompson said. “He has nothing.”

Aiad-Toss was arrested at an airport in Florida while returning from a trip to Peru, WKBN reported.

At the time, he was contracted to work as an emergency room physician at Mercy Health Boardman. His medical license was suspended indefinitely by the Ohio State Medical Board in December 2019, according to the report.

Police say he has connections in Rio Grande, Wildwood, Bridgeton, and Penns Grove, as well as New Castle, Delaware.

A man was busted Thursday for allegedly spewing sexual threats at an 11-year-old girl and robbing her in a Queens alley last weekend, police said.

Jonathan Perez, 34, is accused of attacking the young girl as she walked near 86th Street and Northern Boulevard in Jackson Heights at about 8:45 a.m. Sunday, cops said.

Perez allegedly dragged the girl into the alley, then threw her onto the ground and held a sharp metal object to her throat while making sexual threats and demanding to know her age, police said.

Police said the attacker stole the victim’s house keys, $20, a reusable grocery bag and then fled on foot northbound on 86th Street.

The girl suffered a cut to her throat and was treated at a local hospital.

Perez was charged with robbery, assault, kidnapping, acting in a manner injurious to a child less than 17 and menacing.

The suspect has a prior arrest from June 2. He was busted then on a robbery charge after allegedly punching his girlfriend in the mouth and stealing her car keys on Roosevelt Avenue near 85th Street in Jackson Heights, sources said.

A man is wanted for sexually abusing a teenage girl aboard a Bronx subway train.

The fiend approached the 16-year-old victim on an uptown 4 train as it approached the Mosholu Parkway station on July 19 during the evening rush, detectives said.

He then attacked the underage straphanger and fled to the borough’s Norwood section when the train pulled into the station, according to cops.

Cops released a sketch of the tank top wearing assailant Thursday, and asked anyone who recognized him to call the NYPD.

A former Bronx charter school orchestra conductor sexually abused four students for years — including at least one girl who was just 12 when the molestation started, prosecutors say.

Jesus Concepcion, 48, was known as “Mr. C” at KIPP Academy Middle School, where the music teacher and orchestra instructor preyed on the girls from 2002 through 2007 by luring them into sex acts in his car, at motels and in the public charter school’s music room, according to the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York.

After singling his victims out with “personal attention,” Concepcion plied the students with money, clothing, jewelry and other gifts while telling several of them that they were in a romantic relationship, federal prosecutors allege.

Concepcion was arrested Saturday, four years after accusations against him at the school surfaced and were reported to authorities, officials said.

He is accused of also taking his victims from KIPP Academy or other locations in the Bronx to motels in New Jersey, where he typically told them to stay in his car as he got a room, authorities said.

In at least one instance, he then had sex with a female student in a motel against her will, prosecutors said.

Concepcion is accused of continuing to sexually abuse two of his victims after they went to high school. Prosecutors said he visited them in early 2003 or 2004 while they were freshmen at an out-of-state high school and had sex with them in his car, prosecutors said.

Concepcion, who taught at KIPP Academy from 2000 through 2007, was terminated for “misconduct with a student,” school officials told parents in a statement Monday. Two alumni reported the accusations in 2017, officials said.

KIPP NYC staffers have cooperated with law enforcement since the accusations were reported four years ago, a rep told The Post on Tuesday in a statement.

“We are deeply saddened that former students experienced abuse while attending a KIPP NYC school,” the statement read. “We are hopeful that with today’s arrest justice will finally be served.”

Concepcion, who is originally from Simpsonsville, SC , was arrested in Charlotte, NC.

He’s facing four counts each of enticing a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity and transporting a minor to engage in illegal sexual activity. He’s also accused of enticing one of his victims to send him naked photographs of herself using a cellphone he gave her, prosecutors said.

He faces up to life in prison if convicted.

“Teachers serve as trusted figures to their students as they work to educate and prepare them for the future,” FBI Acting Assistant Director Jacqueline Maguire said. “As alleged, Mr. Concepcion egregiously breached that trust as he abused his position to coerce students — some as young as 12 years old — into having sex with him.”

A message seeking comment from Concepcion’s attorney was not immediately returned Tuesday.

Concepcion was previously described as a “father figure” by some students while teaching at Bronx Preparatory Charter School, where the popular instructor resigned for “personal reasons” in March 2001, the New York Times reported.

Concepcion served as the school’s “informal dean” and was known for his “tough-love blend of hugs, humor and high expectations” from students there, including some who considered him a role model.

Concepcion at the time had returned to KIPP Academy, where he left the previous fall to work at Bronx Prep, the Times reported.

“He was the heart of Bronx Prep,” one sixth-grader wrote in a school newspaper article about Concepcion being named teacher of the month. “How will we live without him?”

Concepcion, meanwhile, said he quit Bronx Prep because he wasn’t fulfilled there.

“If I’m not happy, I’m not productive,” he told the Times.

Chester County Elementary School Teacher Arrested For Allegedly Sexually Abusing Child In 3rd, 4th Grades

WEST CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) — A Chester County elementary school teacher has been arrested after allegedly sexually abusing a student in the third and fourth grades at Nottingham Elementary School. The Chester County District Attorney’s Office said Wednesday 56-year-old Luis Morales has been charged with multiple counts of aggravated indecent assault, institutional sexual assault, and related charges.

The alleged incidents took place between 2014 and 2016.

Authorities said a 14-year-old girl reported the alleged sexual abuse in June 2021. Morales allegedly sexually abused the victim while he was her English as a Second Language teacher when she was in the third and fourth grades at Nottingham Elementary School.

According to the Chester County DA’s Office, Morales asked the victim to stay after school when she was in the third grade and then allegedly touched the victim’s chest and genitals.

The alleged abuse continued on a regular basis while she was in the third and fourth grades with Morales allegedly penetrating the victim with his fingers, according to the DA’s Office. It stopped after the victim graduated from the fourth grade in 2016.

“Chester County is seeing an unacceptable wave of students who have been sexually abused in our elementary, middle, and high schools. It is imperative that we implement safeguards in our schools and any other place children are to protect them from predators,” DA Deb Ryan said. “Adults need to engage in oversight by watching out for children. Anyone who works with children has a legal obligation as a mandated reporter, but all adults have a moral responsibility to do the right thing to protect them. We must do better.”

Morales taught ESL in the Oxford Area School District until 2016, officials said. He was suspended from the Phoenixville Area School District in June 2021.

Morales posted bail, which was set at $350,000 at 10% by Magisterial District Judge Scott Massey.

Morales’ preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 28.

Police are hunting for a sicko who allegedly groped a 12-year-old girl aboard an MTA bus in Manhattan last month.
The suspect, identified as Juan Hernandez, 42, is accused of touching the young victim’s groin on an M14D bus at the intersection of First Avenue and East 14th Street at about 4:40 p.m. Sept. 14, according to the NYPD.
The girl exited the bus at that intersection after the disturbing attack.
Hernandez got off the bus at a different stop and fled into the subway, police said.

A man was indicted by a Brooklyn grand jury for allegedly luring girls into child pornography, the feds said.
Rigorberto Garcia, 33, was charged with multiple counts of coercion and enticement, and sexual exploitation of a minor in connection with seven underage victims, according to a Tuesday federal court indictment.
Garcia used fake names like “Chris Perez,” “Sean Alvarez,” “Steven Skyler,” “David Schineberg” and “Nate Floriano,” to lure the girls to locations where he would film them performing sex acts, prosecutors alleged.
The suspect is also charged with attempting to exploit at least four other girls, according to the indictment.
On Jan. 21, the NYPD seized electronic devices containing child porn and found Garcia had allegedly transmitted the illicit images to other states and countries, the document said.

A Bronx teacher allegedly sexually assaulted a female student and sent others pictures of his penis via Snapchat, police said.
Alexander Guzman, 26, was arrested Friday night in the Bronx. He was charged with one count each of forcible touching and sexual misconduct, and two counts each of harassment, aggravated harassment and disseminating indecent material to minors, police said.
Guzman, who taught at the Bronx School of Law, Government and Justice in the Melrose section, allegedly used the popular app to sent photos of his penis to three of his female students, two 16-year-olds and one 18-year -old, police said. He also allegedly kissed one of the 16-year-old girls, put his fingers down her pants and assaulted her, authorities said.
The victims said the incidents took place between Sept. 23 and Oct. 31 of this year, police said.
Guzman had been a teacher at the school since September 2021. He was removed from the classroom, a DOE source said. The DOE is moving to terminate him.
“These are deeply disturbing charges and DOE has cooperated with the police department fully and the teacher was immediately removed from the school. The safety of our students is our top priority and we have stringent protections in place to address any allegations of impropriety,” a spokesperson for the Department of Education said in a statement.
The Bronx School of Law is a public school for grades 6 through 12. It’s where NYC Schools Chancellor Meisha Ross Porter got her start in the DOE, briefly as a teacher and then as assistant principal and principal.
Porter helped found the school in 1997 with David Banks. Banks is a leading candidate for to replace Porter as chancellor by newly-elected Eric Adams.

A Florida police officer sent explicit text messages to a 15-year-old boy and tried to entice him to a nude beach, federal prosecutors said.
Juan Antonio Garcia, a 30-year-old cop for the Sewall’s Point Police Department, appeared Friday in Fort Pierce federal court after allegedly sending the explicit texts discovered by the teen’s father in late November, according to the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida.
A federal criminal complaint claims Garcia, of Stuart, also asked the boy to accompany him to a nude beach in Florida’s St. Lucie County and to perform sexual acts.
“It is alleged that Garcia instructed the minor via text message to put on a condom (which Garcia provide to the minor), masturbate and send Garcia a photograph of the condom after the minor ejaculated,” federal prosecutors said in a statement.
Garcia also told the boy to send him video of himself masturbating and asked whether he would perform oral sex on him, prosecutors said.
The officer then asked the teen to meet him at a park for oral sex on Nov. 23, one day after investigators got the initial report of the alleged texts.

“When Garcia arrived at the park, law enforcement officers apprehended him,” federal prosecutors said.
Court documents obtained by the Miami Herald show Garcia — who was arrested on charges of traveling to meet a minor and using a computer to solicit a minor — knew the boy for about five years prior to allegedly sending the texts.
The boy had also recently started working for Garcia at the officer’s taco truck, telling investigators their texts were initially innocuous before turning racy, WPBF reported.

“You down to try it?” Garcia asked regarding the nude beach, the complaint shows.
“Want to experiment?” the officer allegedly asked the boy at another point.
The boy’s father went to authorities in Martin County on Nov. 22 to report finding the racy texts on his cellphone. Garcia, meanwhile, admitted asking the boy to send him lewd videos and photos following his arrest, according to the criminal complaint.
The Sewall’s Point Police Department has put Garcia on administrative leave without pay pending an ongoing investigation, federal prosecutors said.
Garcia made his first court appearance in the case on Nov. 24. He was released from custody after posting $750,000 bond and was ordered to go on house arrest, WPTV reported.
Garcia, who joined the department five years ago, has a detention hearing set for Friday and is scheduled to be arraigned on Dec. 17. If convicted, he faces up to 30 years in prison.

An acclaimed New York City middle school teacher allegedly groomed a female student for years before sexually assaulting the seventh-grader, prosecutors said.
Cesar Sanchez, 35, a science teacher at KIPP Washington Heights, was arrested on Dec. 22 and charged with course of sexual conduct against a child and endangering the welfare of a child, court records show.
Sanchez is accused of making “sexually suggestive and lewd comments” to the student starting in 2016 when she was in fourth grade, according to a criminal complaint.
That behavior allegedly continued into her eighth-grade year, the complaint said.
Between September 2019 and March 2020, Sanchez repeatedly sexually assaulted the girl until her classes were forced to go remote during the COVID-19 pandemic, the documents said.
Sanchez was arraigned two weeks ago and freed after posting $7,500 bail, court records show.

A creep groped a 14-year-old girl on a Queens train before following her out of the station this week, cops said early Thursday.
The teen was on a northbound M train approaching Steinway Street in Astoria around 8 a.m. Wednesday when the man sitting behind her touched her thigh and buttocks over her clothing, authorities said.

Once the train pulled into the station, both the victim and suspect disembarked, cops said.
The perv followed the teen out of the station and tried to chat her up, but she fled for her safety, police said.
The suspect then took off as well, cops said. Police released a photo of him walking on Steinway Street.
The victim did not report any injuries.

An after-school tennis coach has been accused of sexually assaulting multiple young girls in the Bronx — and the cops are asking the public what they know about the alleged sexual predator.
Gerardo Gutierrez was arrested Feb. 15 on a half-dozen underage sex abuse charges, but those charges swelled to 73 counts after a grand jury indicted the 30-year-old the next month, according to cops and court records.
Gutierrez, who was a coach with the New York Junior Tennis League afterschool program, allegedly sexually abused at least three girls under age 12 inside PS 100X between November 2019 and July 2021, according to police.
The Bronx District Attorney’s Office later accused the Bronx man of predatory sexual assault against a child in the more than six-dozen-count indictment that was handed up in mid-March, court records show.

Bronx Judge Steven Barrett set bail at $150,000 when Gutierrez appeared on the indictment on March 18, records show.
