Police Arrest Man Suspected Of At Least 11 Rapes
LOS ANGELES -- A man suspected of committing nearly a dozen sexual assaults in the Los Angeles area was in custody Friday, authorities said.

The suspect was spotted riding a bicycle at about 10 p.m. Thursday by members of a task force formed to solve the series of rapes, said Los Angeles police Officer Kristi Sandoval of the Media Relations office.
Police arrested him outside a motel in the 500 block of South Alexandria Avenue in the Wilshire Center area, Sandoval said. His name was not immediately released.

es and Beverly Hills, Sandoval said, adding investigators were reviewing crimes committed in several other ci
ties.
In one assault, the attacker hit a woman over the head with a gun, then robbed and raped her. A gun reportedly matching the description given by that woman was recovered on the suspect, police said.
