Bulgarian Soccer Fans Hold ‘Kyle Rittenhouse Did Nothing Wrong’ Banner

U.S. politics reaches Europe in big way

A viral image from Bulgaria has circulated the internet with a political banner that reads “Kyle Rittenhouse Did Nothing Wrong… He is a hero…” despite many on the left, and big tech company Facebook, determining the 17-year-old is guilty without a trial.

Before a recent fixture, hardcore supporters for one of the Eastern European’s capital city’s main teams came out with a politically-charged message that has captured an international audience.

Now, the CSKA Sofia ultras in Bulgaria have conferred their support behind the teenager who has become something of a meme and an icon across the worldwide web.

The banner — posted front and center in the image — has a depiction of gun-toting Rittenhouse sat on the ground brandishing his rifle in an identical position to where he shot two rioters after being bundled to the ground by skateboard-wielding Anthony Huber, who has become something of a hero in left-wing circles despite domestic abuse priors discovered by internet sleuths.

Rittenhouse is currently facing murder charges after shooting three left-wing protesters — killing two, severely wounding another — during a night of rioting in Kenosha, Wisconsin, after he was ostensibly attacked with a Molotov cocktail by one protester, a skateboard by the second, and threatened with a handgun by a third — who had his bicep shot off.

The young Antioch, Illinois, resident has become center of much polarized debate in recent weeks as right-leaning press continues to unearth footage favorable to the defendant’s case.

On another soccer-related note, the Glasgow City women’s soccer team went a different route and decided to wear Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s name on their kit this season to celebrate the life of the recently deceased U.S. Supreme Court judge — as she was a champion for women’s rights and equality.

“We champion change and equality,” said club manager, Laura Montgomery, according to The BBC.

“RBG certainly gave all of us hope of an empowered future and we want to be able to honour her in this simple way.”

“A pioneer, feminist icon and role model, her work, rulings and dissenting opinions have paved the way for justice, equality and civil liberties,” Montgomery added.

Mother of alleged Kenosha shooter gets standing ovation at GOP event

The mother of Kyle Rittenhouse, an Illinois teenager charged with fatally shooting two people and injuring a third in August during Black Lives Matter protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin, received a standing ovation at a Wisconsin GOP event on Thursday.

Rittenhouse, 17, is being charged as an adult for six counts, including two of first degree murder, for allegedly shooting Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum with a semi-automatic, military-style rifle. He has become a cause célèbre among conservatives, and has attracted millions to his legal defence as he fights extradition to Wisconsin.

Michelle Malkin, an alt-right figure and political commentator who invited Rittenhouse’s mother and lawyer to the event Republican Women of Waukesha County event, is associated with a variety of white supremacist figures and ideas, according to the Anti-Defamation League. She has defended Japanese internment and post-9/11 racial profiling of Muslims, the ADL says, and has called Black Lives Matter a terrorist organization and mocked when its supporters got hit by cars.

Days of demonstrations occurred in Kenosha in late August after video showed police shooting Jacob Blake, who is Black, seven times in the back on August 23 while his children were reportedly in the car. He is now paralysed.

Blake was facing a July arrest warrant for sexual assault, trespassing, and disorderly conduct at the time of the incident, when the woman whose complaint prompted the charges called 911 to alert police to Blake’s presence at her home. The Department of Justice is investigating the incident.

On August 25, Rittenhouse travelled to Kenosha from his home in Antioch, Illinois, with the rifle, which he was too young to legally carry, and joined the scores of armed conservative vigilantes converging around businesses at the protests.

Videos from the night of the shootings shows Rittenhouse at various points. In one instance, 15 minutes before the shooting, police drive by and offer Rittenhouse and others water out of appreciation. Patchy footage of the shooting incident shows Rittenhouse being pursued by a group attempting to seize his rifle, beginning to shoot, and then police initially ignoring him as he walks toward them with his hands up.

Counter-demonstrators armed with military weapons and body armour are becoming an increasingly common sight across the country at Black Lives Matter protests.

Attorney Demands Retraction After Biden Claims Rittenhouse A White Supremacist

Biden offers no evidence to his claim

Attorney Lin Wood demanded a retraction from Joe Biden after he claimed Kyle Rittenhouse is a “white supremacist.”

Wood posted a public retraction letter over the Biden tweet showing a photo of the 17-year-old with the text stating that President Trump “refused to disavow white supremacists.”

“I also hereby demand that Biden immediately retract his false accusation that Kyle is a white supremacist & militia member responsible for violence in Kenosha,” he wrote.

Formal demand for public retraction is being prepared for Biden/Harris Campaign on behalf of Kyle Rittenhouse.

— Lin Wood (@LLinWood) September 30, 2020

Wood is a powerhouse attorney to came to prominence in 1996 after successfully defending Richard Jewell, the security guard who was falsely accused of the Olympic bombing in Atlanta.

And he might have a case against Biden, given that the Democratic candidate offered no evidence in his tweet of Rittenhouse acting as a “white supremacist” the night he shot three people who chased after him in Kenosha, Wisc.

If Rittenhouse is really a “white supremacist,” then why didn’t he target minorities that night when he had a chance?

Instead, before the shootings, Rittenhouse was filmed providing first aid to left-wing protesters hurt during the protests.

Judge orders Kyle Rittenhouse, charged in Kenosha protest shooting, to be extradited to Wisconsin

Kyle Rittenhouse, the teen accused of killing two people in the hectic August protests in Kenosha, Wis., was ordered by an Illinois judge on Friday to be extradited across the state line.

Rittenhouse, of Antioch, Ill., faces six criminal counts in the Badger State, including first-degree intentional homicide. The 17-year-old appeared in an extradition hearing at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan, Ill., on Friday.

Judge Paul Novak ordered Rittenhouse’s transfer to Wisconsin after the teen’s lawyer, John Pierce, argued that there were flaws in the extradition papers, according to The Associated Press.

Deadly gunshots rang through Kenosha shortly before midnight on Aug. 25, the third night of protests that roiled the small southern Wisconsin city after the caught-on-video police shooting of Jacob Blake.

Kyle Rittenhouse listens to defense attorney John Pierce during an extradition hearing in Lake County court Friday, Oct. 30, 2020, in Waukegan, Ill. Rittenhouse is accused of killing two protesters days after Jacob Blake was shot by police in Kenosha, Wis.

Rittenhouse’s lawyers have argued Rittenhouse acted in self-defense

Antioch is about a half-hour’s drive from Kenosha.

Rittenhouse is due back in court on December 3rd for a preliminary hearing.

This story is developing.

Rittenhouse Released On Bail Backed By Celebrities, 'Woke' Police & 'Squad' Get To Work

Written By BlabberBuzz | Monday, 23 November 2020 21:50

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Saturday criticized what she named a “double standard” within the criminal justice system after convicted Kenosha killer Kyle Rittenhouse was freed from jail on a $2 million bail.

The 17-year-old’s discharge on Friday had caused anger on social media from some Democrats who claimed it was an example of racial perquisite within the system.

“Does anyone believe Rittenhouse would be released if he were Muslim & did the same thing in a diff context?” Ocasio-Cortez asked on Twitter.

“For people who say ‘systemic racism doesn’t exist,’ this is what it looks like: protection of white supremacy baked deep into our carceral systems,” she said, adding “Law and disorder.”

The radical left-wing lawmaker also used Rittenhouse’s bail to slam those who push against bail reform by complaining that “violent people will be let out of jail to roam free.”

They “rarely ever acknowledge that’s actually the current system we have today for the privileged,” AOC tweeted.

The bail for Rittenhouse — who encounters murder charges in the Aug. 25 shooting during a Black Lives Matter protest in the Wisconsin city — was funded with the help of actor Ricky Schroder and My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell.

The teen maintains he was performing in self-defense when police say he killed demonstrators Anthony Huber, 26, and Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and wounded a third man.

Recently elected Missouri congresswoman Cori Bush, a Black Lives Matter activist, also asserted Rittenhouse’s bail was an example of a deficient flawed criminal justice system.

“80% of Texas county jail inmates who have died from COVID-19 were in pre-trial detention and had not been convicted of any crimes. If Kyle Rittenhouse can be released, is pre-trial detention really an issue of public safety?” she wrote on Twitter.

“We need to decarcerate to save lives,” Bush added.

His case has taken on political connotations. Supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement have painted Rittenhouse as a trigger-happy white supremacist. Conservatives angered over vandalism during recent protests have described him as a patriot exercising his right to bear arms during the unrest. A legal defense fund for him has attracted millions of dollars in donations, and his mother got a standing praise from women at a Waukesha County GOP function in September.

Huber’s father, John Huber, asked Kenosha County Circuit Court Commissioner Loren Keating during a hearing Nov. 2 to place Rittenhouse’s bond between $4 million and $10 million. Huber said Rittenhouse believes he’s above the law and regarded the effort to raise money on his behalf. He also suggested militia groups would protect him from police if he were released.

Rittenhouse’s attorney, Mark Richards, asked for $750,000 bail.

Keating eventually set bail at $2 million, saying Rittenhouse was a small bail given the severity of the statements against him.

Judge refuses to issue new arrest warrant for Kyle Rittenhouse, 18, after he disappeared and moved to a 'safe house' without letting prosecutors know

February 12, 2021 - News

Link: http://www.cuzzblue.com/2021/02/judge-refuses-to-issue-new-arrest.html

A judge on Thursday refused prosecutors´ request to issue a new arrest warrant for an 18-year-old from Illinois who is accused of killing two people during a police brutality protest in Wisconsin last summer.

Kenosha County Circuit Judge Bruce Schroeder also rejected prosecutors´ request for a $200,000 bail increase for Kyle Rittenhouse, who came to Kenosha in August as hundreds were protesting the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a Black man.

Kenosha County Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger alleged that Rittenhouse failed to update his address when he moved out of his Antioch apartment in November.

Prosecutors say Rittenhouse violated conditions of his $2 million bond by failing to inform the court of his current address.

Rittenhouse's attorneys say threats have forced him into hiding, and they say they offered to give prosecutors Rittenhouse's current address if it stays under seal. Prosecutors have refused, saying the public is entitled to know where Rittenhouse is and that the defense hasn't presented any evidence of an immediate threat.

The defense further claimed that a 'high ranking' member of the Kenosha Police Department had previously told them to deliberately list a false address for where Rittenhouse was staying on court papers in order to protect him.

Schroeder refused both of Binger's requests. During a testy hearing the judge said people out on bail often fail to update their addresses and aren't arrested. He ordered Rittenhouse attorney Mark Richards to turn over Rittenhouse's current physical address but said it would be sealed to the public and only he and the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department would have access to it.

The judge refused to give Binger the address, saying he didn't want more violence in Kenosha. The move - and the comment - left Binger flabbergasted.

'I hope you're not suggesting sharing this with our office would lead to further violence,' Binger said. 'We are not the public. We are the prosecuting agency. I have never heard of a situation where the information has been withheld from my office.'

Kyle Rittenhouse, right, appears in a live stream video alongside his attorney Mark Richards, left, during an arrest hearing in Kenosha County Court on Thursday. A judge on Thursday refused prosecutors´ request to issue a new arrest warrant for the 18-year-old.

Schroeder said the sheriff could handle any further bail violations. Binger countered that Rittenhouse doesn't live in Kenosha County so the sheriff can't touch him. Schroeder cut Binger off in mid-sentence and ended the hearing.

Rittenhouse came to Kenosha in August from nearby Antioch, Illinois, as hundreds of people were protesting the police shooting that left Jacob Blake, a Black man, paralyzed.

Prosecutors say Rittenhouse, who is white and was 17 at the time, answered a militia group´s call on social media to protect Kenosha businesses.

He is accused of killing Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber and wounding Gaige Grosskreutz with an AR-15-style rifle the night of Aug. 25.

He was charged with first-degree intentional homicide, two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety, first-degree reckless homicide, attempted first-degree intentional homicide and possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18.

Rittenhouse has maintained he fired in self-defense, and some have rallied to his side, portraying him as a patriot exercising his right to bear arms. Supporters of the Black Lives Matter movement have painted Rittenhouse as a trigger-happy white supremacist.

Last week, the Kenosha County District Attorney's Office alleged he failed to inform the court of a change of address within 48 hours of moving.

When he was released on bail, Rittenhouse listed his home address as being in the 200 block of Anita Terrace in Antioch.

But a notice mailed to the home on December 22 was returned unclaimed on January 28, according to the motion filed by the District Attorney's Office.

Lawyers for Rittenhouse claim he is in an undisclosed 'safe house' due to numerous death threats he's received following the aftermath shootings. Rittenhouse pictured in Illinois on October 30

Prosecutors have refused the offer of taking his actual address under seal, saying the public is entitled to know where Rittenhouse is and that the defense hasn't presented any evidence of danger. Rittenhouse pictured at a bar in Wisconsin in January 2021

When detectives visited the address on Feb. 2, they said they spoke with a man who stated he moved into the apartment in mid-December and that Rittenhouse no longer lives there.

But the motion claims the address was listed on the bond that Rittenhouse signed on January 22 and he failed to correct it.

Rittenhouse's Wisconsin-based attorney, Mark Richards, filed an objection to the motions of his client being re-arrested and having the increased bond.

He claims Rittenhouse is in an undisclosed 'safe house' due to numerous death threats he's received following the aftermath shootings.

Richards said Rittenhouse would provide his address to the court if the court can promise it will be be withheld from public record.

The Kenosha County District Attorney's Office filed a response on Feb. 4 rejecting the motion.

Rittenhouse was released on $2 million cash bail back in November, following a fundraising campaign from right-wing activists and conservative celebrities.

In January, Rittenhouse was seen drinking at a Mount Pleasant bar and posing with two men as they made white supremacist hand gestures. Five men also serenaded him with the anthem of the neo-fascist group the Proud Boys.

Rittenhouse could consume alcohol in a bar under Wisconsin law because he was with his mother.
