Something is fishy at New York’s most expensive sushi restaurant.

Manhattan’s three Michelin-starred Masa — where a meal costs a minimum of $595 per person — has been serving unsanitary tuna and trevally, according to the US Food and Drug Administration.

“Your fresh trevally and fresh Katsuwonus pelamis (Katsuo), also known as skipjack tuna or bonito … have been prepared, packed, or held under insanitary conditions whereby they may have been rendered injurious to health,” the FDA wrote in a warning letter to the Columbus Circle eatery letter dated Oct. 16.

Masa told food blog Eater that it is taking the warning “very seriously.”

“We take FDA regulations very seriously and of course food safety is always a priority. We are working closely with our purveyors in Japan to get this resolved quickly,” it said in a statement.
