PITTSBURGH —

Police said a second shooting in Pittsburgh's Garfield neighborhood early Monday morning was an act of retaliation.

Investigators said 16-year-old Ne'Ondre Harbour was shot and killed outside of his North Aiken Avenue home Sunday night.

About 12 hours later, police said another person was shot on Columbo Street.

Police said Harbour was an innocent bystander who got caught in the crossfire of an argument. According to police, a group of women got into a fight:rolleyes: and a man pulled out a gun, striking Harbour.

So far, no arrests have been made in either case.

PITTSBURGH, Pa. —

On the same night Ne’Ondre Harbour was honored by his high school football team, police made an arrest in the shooting that killed the 16-year-old student-athlete outside a home in the city’s Garfield neighborhood.

Pittsburgh police said detectives arrested Brandon Sewell, 21, on Friday night at his home in the 7400 block of Hermitage Street in Homewood and charged him with homicide.

According to police, Harbour, 16, was shot and killed during a dispute that he had no involvement in.

Police said Harbour was standing outside of a home in the 400 block of North Aiken Avenue in the city’s Garfield neighborhood on Sunday when someone started shooting into the house, which was occupied, at 8:19 p.m.

Harbour was hit in the torso and collapsed near Kincaid Street and North Atlantic Avenue while fleeing the gunshots, police said.

He was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Man Gets 15 to 30 Years After Plea In Teen's Shooting Death
Published at 7:21 PM EST on Feb 23, 2015

A western Pennsylvania man has been sentenced to 15 to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty in the shooting death of a teenager more than two years ago.

Twenty-four-year-old Brandon Sewell of Pittsburgh pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and other counts Monday in Allegheny County Court.

Authorities said Ne'Ondre Harbour wasn't the intended target of the defendant's gunfire, which stemmed from a neighborhood dispute in October 2012.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Sewell apologized for his actions in court Monday.
