BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies arrested a 16-year-old boy they say killed a Dillard High School football player.

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies were called about a group of teenagers causing a disturbance in the street in the 3300 block of Northwest 15th Court at about 4 p.m. Wednesday.
By the time deputies arrived, the group had dispersed.
About 45 minutes later, Westside Regional Hospital personnel notified BSO
that 17-year-old Eddy Power had died in their emergency room. Police said that Power was stabbed in the heart.
Homicide detect
ives went to the hospital where friends of Power told deputies that they had driven him to the hospital after he was stabbed by Christopher Jean-Marie.
Moments later, Jean-Marie was arrested in the 2500 block of Northwest 9th Court.
Jean-Marie is charged with an open count of murder while the investigation continues.
Investigators said Thursday that it was an argument over a street sold cell phone that led to the stabbing.
